As the federal department where NOAA resides, the Department of Commerce (DoC) Policy related to scientific integrity is aligned with administration policy.  A memorandum outlining the current policy originated with a Presidential Memorandum the current policy was originated Presidential Memorandum in 2009 followed by a memorandum from the Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) in 2010.  Directives in the memorandum were adopted by DoC in 2011.
